Christmas Lighting with LED Lights

Perhaps the most common and successful use of LED lights, has been the transition from incandescent bulbs to LED lights in Christmas lighting. From large scale city light displays to residential applications, LED Christmas lights have proven to be an easy way to reduce utility costs during the holiday season.

Nearly all the traditional lighting options you've become accustomed to with traditional incandescent lights are available in LED applications. Rope lighting, C7 and C9 lights, net lighting and icicle lights are all available in LED versions. LED decorative spheres, stars and snowflakes are other decorations available to brighten your holidays.

Rope lights come in a variety of bright colors and due to their low energy usage, can be strung together without worry of blowing a fuse, unlike incandscent bulbs.

Another great application of LED lights is on your Christmas Tree. LED Lights radiate much less heat than incandescent bulbs and are cool to the touch, making your tree not just energy efficient, but safer.

If you're like me, every year I take my incandescent string lights and test them before decorating the tree, only to find on strand doesn't work. After an hour of testing each bulb, I inevitably head to the hardware store for a new strand of lights, very likely a different brand slightly longer or shorter than the other strands. Since the lifespan of LED lights are much longer than incandescent lights (a mini ice M5 strand is rated for over 200,000 hours of use) you can enjoy your tree hassle free.
